NBH has been evacuated
The worst thing we were all afraid of has happened. NBH has been evacuated. It all happened very quickly. In the evening the chief doctor was told next morning they must be ready for evacuation.

ZuBS:
Zurupinsk boarding schoold is still intakt. It is impossible to evacuate ZuBS because they have too many severe disabled children who can only be transported by ambulances. Luckily it is quite in the city. The orphanage is situated right near the main high way to Crimea they see a lot of Russian military traffic.Kharkov:
It is quite in the city and it seems normal life is coming back but people are told all the time that it can get worst any time soon.

Vika visits Switzerland
Vika visited Switzerland for the holidays. We were able to discuss the situation in Ukraine, the ‘war’ on the eastern front with Russia, and the new Director at NBH amongst other things.
ZuBS: Boarding School Zurupinsk
Friends of Svieta also cooperates with Zurupinsk boarding school. Here, too, there are big changes. Since 2021, severely disabled children no longer have to leave the boarding school at the age of 18-24. From now on, if they want, they can stay in their “home” until the age of 35. more
NBH: Director Nataliya Grigorenko
At the beginning of December Nataliya Grigorenko was appointed as new director at NBH. She has already started her work.
We are looking forward to working with Nataliya Grigorenko in the coming years.

Corona situation in ukrainian hospitals
After the “summer break”, Corona has again since the beginning of autumn become a hot topic in Ukraine. Since the vaccination campaign in the country has completely failed, the government is trying to exert pressure. But the majority of the people do not want to be vaccinated. People give different reasons: they don’t trust the Chinese and Indian vaccines and when suddenly European vaccines appear on the market, they suspect that they are fake or not as good as in the EU.
