Donation for Krasnokutsk

Before the journey in November 2004 we had been tasked by a French family to deliver post to Krasnokutsk (Kharkov Oblast). It was our first visit to this orphanage for children from 4 to 8 years, which is in outstanding condition…

And this year for the trip in May the same family again asked us to bring post as well as a donation to this orphanage, with the request to use this donation as well as possible. We took contact thus with the director of the orphanage. She immediately suggested us buying toys for the summer camp. The children spend generally summer holidays at the sea. She even suggested that she would drive to Kharkov, help with the selection of the toys and taking these back.
This kind of task is very pleasing both for us as well as for the donor family. It is simple to carry out, as we were already in the same area, and it requires a minimum of organization.
We will continue to publish the route of our next trip to Ukraine, so this can give ideas to other families 😉
